Fluoroelastomer

Modern technology requires a flexible material operable at 300^oC and above, is resistant to various aggressive media and, most importantly, different small value of residual compressive strain (SLM) at high temperatures. Such materials are fluoro and perfluoro-. They possess a unique resistance to mineral oils, hydrocarbon fuels and oxidants, hot water and superheated steam are operable in the temperature range from - 55^oC to + 300^oC. Despite the high cost, the rubber of fluorine-containing elastomers do not have an alternative to the use of nuclear and chemical industry, aviation, space technology. Their field of application, in particular, - the manufacture of sealants for engine fuel and hydraulic systems.
