Cryofton-1(SKF 260V) is a heat and corrosion resistant fluoro-hydrogen rubber.
Its products are serviceable within (-35 ÷ +250)oC.
The rubber compounds show a better processibility and can process on the conventional machinery of rubber industry by compression, extrusion, calandering and injection molding to give various articles, complex-shaped ones included.

Extrusion
Blanks for sealing rings are made on screw extruders under the below conditions:
- head temperature 100 – 110oC,
- screw speed 10 – 20 r/min
Cure conditions
Cure is performed in two steps:
- 1st step – press: 30 min at 160oC,
- 2nd step – oven: 24 hrs at 250oC.

Notes:
Common applications:
- airspace industry - (sealing parts for fuel and hydraulic systems of engines );
- packaging – PE bags in wooden (polymer) boxes,
- marking - handling symbols - “Keep dry”, “Temperature Limits (-40 ÷+35)oC ;
- transportation – all covered transportation means;
- storage – keep in dry heated rooms at not higher than 35oC. Protect from soiling and direct sunlight.
Safety:
1. Raw rubber is a hardly combustible material. Has nor skin resorptive, neither allergenic effects.
2. Working areas must have ventilation systems at all the steps of rubber compound preparation. Personal protection means – goggles, clothing, respirator, gloves.
3. Wastes must be burned at special plants only. Other ways of disposal include burying, chemical modification to generate low-molecular polymers.
4. Use carbon black as filler.
