In the industry produce urethane rubbers are of three types: 1) valtsuemye - solid linear or branched polymers (molar mass of ~ 30 000), which is processed by conventional techniques, including the individual steps of preparing a rubber composition and its vulcanization (see Rubber products), 2) injection molding. - liquid compositions from which the product is obtained by combining with the synthesis of the solid forming "cross-linked" polymer - rubber; 3) thermoplastic - solid polymer (molar mass of 15 000-18 000), the processing of which use the same methods as in the manufacture of products from thermoplastics (see Plastics)..
The industry's most widely used injection molding urethane rubbers, which are made of solid tires for internal transport, detail screens for the classification of coal conveyor belts, drive belts, seals and dampers, shoe soles, the basis of carpets and decorative wallpaper. Thermoplastic elastomers are used mainly in the production of various automotive parts, valtsuemye urethane rubbers - in the manufacture of various products of complex profile, as well as artificial leather for shoe uppers.
